History section Eurocentric

I would risk a guess that people travelled before antiquity, and outside Europe. I know, it's an outlandish guess, but taking risks is what makes life fun!

Seriously, the entire section needs to be re-written. Janus the Edessan (talk) 12:20, 15 August 2024 (UTC) While much focus is placed on European travel and trade, the Arabian Gulf also played a significant role. Ancient maritime routes connected Mesopotamia, the Indus Valley, and the Arabian Peninsula, facilitating trade and cultural exchange. Today, Abu Dhabi continues this legacy through modern cruising and sailing. Luxury charters and sailing tours allow visitors to explore these historic waters, merging tradition with contemporary leisure.
