Enteric not separate
[edit]"The PNS is divided into three separate subsystems, the somatic, autonomic, and enteric nervous systems." The autonomic nervous system contains the enteric nervous system, so they cannot be called separate subsystems. The PNS Wikipedia page is consistent with this as well. Would anyone take issue with it being changed to "The PNS is divided into two separate subsystems, the somatic and autonomic nervous systems."? Reasoned Inquiry (talk) 07:13, 7 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Reasoned Inquiry done. Someone must have confused PNS with ANS. Tobiasi0 (talk) 06:49, 6 April 2024 (UTC)
Infobox image
[edit]Hello together
I've identified two similar images that could potentially be suitable for the infobox of this article. The first one is the current File:TE-Nervous system diagram.svg (1), and the other is File:Nervous system diagram-en.svg (2). Personally, I'm still unsure which one is more suitable – number 2 shows the body from the anterior view, while number 1 depicts it from the posterior view. Number 2 is more detailed, but perhaps a little too detailed? They both depict the nervous system quite clear, but let me know what you think. Tobiasi0 (talk) 07:18, 6 April 2024 (UTC)
What is the nervous system

Fix color codes in "Diagram showing the major divisions of the vertebrate nervous system"
[edit]The Red/Green boxes for the diagram "Diagram showing the major divisions of the vertebrate nervous system" located at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nervous_system#/media/File:NSdiagram.svg has two issues:
1) colors are definitely reversed on "sensory (afferent) division" and "motor (efferent division)"; colors are probably reversed on "Autonomic nervous system" and "Somatic nervous system", though possibly both should be red to indicate that both bullets are statements about function
2) the usage of red and green is not color-impaired friendly. Changing to red/blue would be easy and effective. Majqadri (talk) 02:59, 16 January 2025 (UTC)
